In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says that by 2028, nearly one in four seniors 65 years old and older will be working. They’ll be staying on the job or they’ll come out of retirement in search of work that can give them a sense of accomplishment.

Consumers in Texas and across the country will pay more for a Fourth of July cookout, according to a recent American Farm Bureau Federation marketbasket survey. The national average cost of a summer cookout for 10 people is $69.68, which breaks down to less than $7 per person.

Magician Harlan Rhodes entertained and amazed over 150 Gaines County residents with his magic show Wednesday morning in Seminole. Hosted by the Gaines County Library System, Harlan not only performed astonishing tricks at the civic building but also tied his act in with the importance of reading and visiting the local library.
