Jack Lavender 69, of Seminole passed away on April 18, 2024, in Amarillo. Jackie Ben Lavender was born on August 31, 1954, in Memphis to Bill and Vern Lavender.

A memorial and celebration of life service will be held in Matador this Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church - Fellowship Hall from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. Cora Ann Nix, 89, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. Cora Ann, the eldest of four daughters, was born on Wednesday, July 11, 1934, to Johnnie Daniel and Opal Irene Craven in Matador. After Cora Ann graduated from Brownwood High School in 1951, she went on to study at Texas Tech.

Funeral services for Franz Banman, age 64 of Seminole were held Monday, April 22, 2024 at Old Colony Mennonite Church at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Peter Jensen officiating. Burial followed at Gaines County Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Jay Don Livingston, aged 74, of Ruidoso, NM, Formerly of Seminole, passed away February 24, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer. While attending Seminole High School in the 60’s, Don was a member of a band called The Switchmen, playing bass guitar.

Memorial services for Victoria Denise McKenzie, 38, of Plains were held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10:00 A.M, at the First Baptist Church in Plains with the Rev. Patrick Hamilton officiating. A celebration of life was held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Denver City. Arrangements were under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home in Denver City, Texas.

Funeral services for Jacob Neufeld, age 64 of Seminole were held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Reinlander Mennonite Church with John Loewen officiating. Burial followed at Reinlander Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Franklin D. Shaw, 87, of Seminole passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Services will be held at Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home in Big Spring on Monday, April 15, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with the service following at 11:00 am.

Funeral services for Pearlie Jo (Dale) Martinez, age 40 of San Angelo and formerly of Seminole, will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Barns of St. James Baptist Church of Pecos officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole. The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice of San Angelo and Shannon Medical Center.

Hattie Ann Elliston Oliver gained her wings on March 19, 2024, at the age of 82. Hattie was born in Rosebud on June 14, 1941 to Robert Lee and Araeh Elliston.

Barbara (Dick) Sanderson, 91, passed away April 3, 2024. She loved the Lord.
