Indians battle through weather delay to defeat Perryton

PLAINVIEW-- The only thing that delayed the Seminole baseball team was Mother Nature. After winning Game 1 of a Class 4A bidistrict playoff series against Perryton, the Indians were forced to wait as inclement weather, including hail, pushed back the start of Game 2 on Friday at Plainview High School.

The Seminole baseball team will face Perryton in a best-of-3 Class 4A bi-district series beginning Friday at Floydada High School. Game 1 is scheduled for 2 p.m., with Game 2 to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.

Maidens set for Shot at State

The Seminole girl’s golf team is making a familiar trip. The Maidens are set to compete at the UIL Class 4A Girls Golf Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland.

MIDLAND-- It went about as well as it could have for the Seminole tennis team at the District 3-4A Championships. Battling high temperatures and breezy conditions, the Indians and Maidens both won their respective crowns and combined to win the overall title Wednesday and Friday at the Bush Tennis Center in Midland.
