Jamie Leo Salinas, age 58, of Midland passed away, July 3, 2022, in Midland.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. He will be laid to rest at the Andrews County North Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Matt Salinas, Lionel Salinas, Nicholas Salinas, Yestin Salinas, Johnny Garcia, Rene Salinas, Flavio Flores, and Eliseo Garza. Honorary Pallbearers will include Leonardo Salinas, Rolando Mungia, and Omar Guevara. Visitation was held Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the McNett Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the care of McNett Funeral Home.

Jamie was born March 11, 1964, in Seminole to Leonardo Salinas and Felicita Arrambide. He married his high school sweetheart, Yolanda Villalobos on September 24, 1983, in Seminole and they spent 38 amazing years together. Jamie was a hardworking, and true family man. He loved his job as a production foreman. He loved to tell stories about his high school football days and loved to ride motorcycles. He was a true Longhorns football fan. Jamie was a mentor and a father figure to many people. He coached softball, baseball, football, and basketball. His true passion was his family. He loved to spoil his wife as much as possible and loved to take her on sporadic weekend trips. He adored his children and his grandchildren. Jamie will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Yolanda Salinas of Midland; father Leonardo Salinas of Seminole; sons Matt Salinas and wife Susan of Andrews, Lionel Salinas of Andrews and Nicholas Salinas of Midland; daughter Nichole Salinas of Austin; brother Rene Salinas and husband Kevin Schmidt of Houston; sister Rosie Salinas of Seminole; grandchildren: Yestin, Felicity, Leah, Madilynn, Mikah, and Charlize; and great-granddaughter Yesenia.

He is preceded in death by his mother Felicita Salinas and brother Leonel Salinas.
