Memorial services for Freda Jones, age 79 of Topsham, Maine, and formerly of Seminole will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at M.S. Doss Chapel with Danny Curtis and the Dayspring Church officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born in the fall of 1943 on October 20 in San Angelo to Ross and Willo Dean. She was the first of their six children. Her family was one of the cherished foundational cornerstones of her life. Freda’s early childhood was spent in and around Ballinger before the family moved to Brownfield. Freda eventually continued her life-long calling to ministry by accepting the mantle of pastor of Dayspring Church in Seminole. She served in this role for over 40 years and was truly blessed by this congregation. In the wide-open landscape of West Texas, she lived, loved and experienced the joys and losses of life. The final years of Freda’s life were spent in Maine where she joined her son Trey and his family. This was a wonderful time of reconnection before her eventual passing at the Governor King Memory Care wing of Highlands in Topsham, Maine. The family expresses sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Governor King and CHANS Home Health and Hospice.

On August 23, 2023, Freda Louise Jones (née Campbell and previously Tankersley and Hadaway,) peacefully passed away from this world to embrace her heavenly Father.
