Seminole Hospital District Begins COVID Vaccine Immunizations

Seminole Hospital District (District) began its COVID immunization program for all staff on Monday, Dec. 28. The program continues through Thursday. This is the first of two immunizations that each staff member will receive. The District received the Moderna vaccine and the second shot will be administered 24-28 days after receiving the first.

Larry Gray, chief executive officer for the District stated, “We are excited to begin this immunization process and look forward to the continued distribution throughout the county. We encourage everyone to receive this vaccine, unless they have a specific medical condition that is contra-indicated. We will be keeping all existing COVID protocols in place, including wearing masks, building entry screening, cleaning and hygiene guidelines for the foreseeable future.”

The Memorial Health Care Center (skilled nursing facility) also immunized all staff and residents Monday through a separate state-sponsored program.
