Paul C. Keeling, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Lubbock. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield with Pastor Bruce Cotton officiating. The family received visitors at Hammons Funeral Home from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Arrangements were under the personal direction of the Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield.

Paul Conley Keeling was born to Carl and Velma Keeling on June 22, 1945 in Lubbock and the family settled in Littlefield. Paul's childhood was spent there, until his Junior year in high school. He graduated from Jackson Private School in Lubbock in 1963.  Marriage came in 1964 to Pat Williams. From this

union were born two children, Angela Michelle and Paul Bryan. Pat's mom became "Wild Willie" to Paul, a term of genuine endearment, and Lloyd was a beloved father-in-law. The marriage ended in 1982.

Paul began working in 1967 for Southwestern Public Service Co., as a meter reader. Advancements brought about the positions of lineman and crew chief. As his career broadened within the company, he was transferred to Seminole where he was General Foreman for ten years. He and his wife, Dalilah met there, and married in 2001.  They returned to Lubbock in 2002. He was Excel Area Manager for Lubbock until 2005, after which he retired.

Paul and Dalilah loved to travel, especially to the Colorado area where they were camp hosts for several summers and enjoyed fishing. They made their final home in Lubbock. Our family is so grateful to Dalilah for her loving care of Paul.  At his side, she has been a marvelous example of grace. No written words can express what a blessing she has been throughout his numerous bouts of serious illness.

Paul's immediate surviving and extended family members, include Dalilah and her children daughter, Carla Jeter, sons Rickey and Trever Coon and six grandchildren whom he loved very much. His sister, Carletta, daughter, Angie (Monty) Blount,  granddaughters Ryann West (Randall), Keegan, and McKena Blount. Son Bryan, and grandson Ethan Paul, and daughter-in-love, Dawn Keeling. Agreat-granddaughter, McCoy Elizabeth West, aka the "divine Miss M." was born into the family on February 21, 2019.

Our family takes great comfort in the certainty that Paul is in heaven, with the Father and the Son, free of the lump of human hindering clay that has held him captive for so long. Paul's loss pierces us through bone and marrow. As a family we have lost our Patriarch, our shield, defender and protector. Yet, God promises to bind our wounds and heal our hearts. That assurance gives us rest as we await being reunited in heaven for eternity. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
