Funeral services for Pablo Garcia, Sr. age 90 of Seminole, were held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church with Pastor Johnny Hernandez officiating. Burial followed at Gaines County Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. The church allowed a limited number of attendees inside for the funeral service, and it was suggested that a mask be worn and social distancing practiced, in keeping with CDC guidelines.

Mr. Garcia was born January 15, 1930 in Glen Flora to Refugia (Villanueva) and Melquiadez Garcia. He married Ofelia Chavez in Richmond on September 18, 1958. He was a Christian and worked in agriculture. Pablo was a hardworking man and could not be still, he always had to be doing something. He enjoyed music, playing the violin, dancing, telling stories and watching Spanish westerns. He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Pablo Garcia passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ofelia Garcia in 1990; one son, two brothers, and two sisters.

He is survived by four sons, Tony Garcia, Sr. and wife Janie of Seminole, Mike Garcia and wife Carmen of San Antonio, Pablo Garcia, Jr. and wife Nellie of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Mack Garcia and wife Mireya of Seminole; five daughters, Alicia Hernandez and husband Margarito, Lupe De Leon and husband Rutilio, Sylvia Iglesias and husband Ernesto, Lidia Mares and husband Vidal, and Oralia Aguilar and husband Martin, all of Seminole; 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
