DENVER CITY -- Funeral Services for Jarvis Allen Roach, 90, of Denver City were held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 in the Denver City Church of Christ, with Brother Skip Rodgers officiating, with interment following in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Jarvis passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Denver City.

Jarvis was born on January 6, 1932 in Tom Green County to John and Lula Mae Roach. He graduated from Brownfield High School, married Charlsie Gaston on August 14, 1950 in Brownfield.

A former resident of Brownfield he moved to Denver City in 1974. Jarvis was a member of the Denver City Church of Christ. He worked for Gaines County and retired from there in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his wife Charlsie in 2014.

Jarvis is survived by his two daughters Rhonda Swadley and her husband Jim of Denver City, Kristy Kostelich and her husband Wayne of Valley Mills; a son Carlton Roach of Largo, Florida; a sister Amaryllis “Sis” Jones of Weatherford, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren Kristie Hix, Lorie House and her husband Jody, James Swadley, Danielle Conde and her husband Tomas Vaquera, Toby Roach and his wife Rochelle, Kara Roach, Tara Stepanski and her husband Joe, Blu Kostelich and his wife Callie; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Family visitation was held Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
