James “Earl” Bennett

Graveside services for James “Earl” Bennett 68, of Seminole will be held, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Gaines County Cemetery, with Rev. Tony Pitcox officiating, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.

Earl passed away October 23, 2021 in Seminole.

Earl was born December 13, 1952 to William Danniel and Mary Amelia Taylor Bennett in Plainview. Earl worked for Carl’s Auto Service for 23 years as a mechanic. Shortly after Carl’s Auto shut down, he went to work for Gaines County Precinct 2 as a mechanic for 20 more years. Earl loved to ride his motorcycle and he loved race cars. Earl loved anything that was fast and loud. He loved his family dearly. He will be missed but will remain forever in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Mary Latisha Bennett and niece Donna Bennett and brother-in-law Mac McKee.

Earl is survived by son Zane Neal and wife April of Kermit; brother Carl Bennett and wife Kathleen of Seminole; sister Willie Bea McKee of Benbrook and granddaughter Delainee Braly and husband Stephen of Amarillo; two nieces Rita Smith and Evie and husband Andy Stewart; three nephews Shawn McKee and wife Stephanie, Bert McKee and wife Marilyn, Chad McKee and wife Lisa and greatnieces and nephews Sarah, Bailey, Matthew, Mark, Reyanna, Daniel, Holly, Krista, Clarice, Maddison, Malcolm and Eleanor, along with numerous greatgreat-nieces and nephews.
