DENVER CITY -- Funeral services for Jackie Korina Pate, 56, of Denver City were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Denver City Church of Christ with Rev. Judi Brandt. Interment followed in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Korina passed away Monday, March 22, 2020 in Lubbock.

She was born September 2, 1964 in Denver City to Denman and Jackie Pate. She graduated from Denver City High School in 1983, then went on to South Plains College of Levelland, where she received her LVN license. She worked at Seminole Memorial Hospital for many years in the Home Health and Hospice departments. She then went on to work for Yoakum County Hospital in 2004 as an LVN, in 2005 she went to surgery as a scrub tech, 2011 Infectious Disease Nurse, in that same year she took on roles of Quality Risk Management, Safety, Emergency Management and CPR instructor.

Korina is survived by her parents Denman and Jackie Pate; her lifelong companion Randy Marion all of Denver City; brother Grant Pate and his wife Kristina of Brownfield; two daughters K’Lynn Pate and her husband Jose Cruz of Denver City, Randa Marion of Hobbs, NM; two sons Chris Marion of Hobbs, NM, Jon Marion of Denver City; two granddaughters N’Kole Pate, Brisa Cruz; three grandsons Brandon Cruz, Bryan Cruz, Brayden Cruz all of Denver City along with other grandchildren; two uncles Wayne Pate of Irtusk, Siberia, Geary Martin of Canyon Lake; aunt Carol Matthews of Fulton; four nieces Kaelyn, Samara, Kaylee, and Ariel. You will be greatly missed.
