Graveside services for Jackie Douglas Earl, age 83 of Lubbock and formerly of Seminole will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Pastor Joe Stewart officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Earl was born August 19, 1935 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Shirley Gray (Whited) and Charles Wesley Earl. He married Juanell Wood on December 22, 1955 in Seminole and she passed away in July of 1997. He worked for SE&E Oilfield Services which was owned by his father, then became owner in 1959 until 1991. He loved to fish and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a Baptist and had been a Seminole resident since 1941. He was honored as the recipient of Oil Field Service Man of the Year for Gaines County. He was remarried in 1999 to Helen Hurst; she passed away earlier this year.

Jackie Earl passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Senior Care in Midland.

He is survived by two daughters Jacquelyn Sheri Lacy and husband Rory of Midland, Valerie Dawn Jackson and husband Cary (Skeet) of Seminole; four grandchildrenKatelyn Lacy, Justin Lacy, Clint Jackson, Reagan Jackson and husband Matt and two great-grandchildren Harvest and John Luke Preston.
