Clellen Jahart Anderson, Jr

Clellen Jahart Anderson, Jr. was born on February 10, 1937 to Clellen Jahart Anderson and Hazel Hill Anderson in Austin. He was the oldest of two sons. Clellen was known to all as CJ. He graduated from Austin High School, attended classes at University of Texas and then acquired an engineering job at IBM. He met the love of his life, Sandra O’Brien, at church, asked her out on a waterskiing date and married her in 1957.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

His job at IBM took him and his family to Rochester, Minnesota in 1965 where he developed many close friendships with other IBMers, their families and church families. He enjoyed church activities, golfing, fishing, waterskiing, boating, camping and dancing with his wife for their 15 years, or winters as he would say, in Rochester. In 1980 he accepted an IBM transfer back to Austin to be closer to family. He continued to enjoy all his favorite activities in the warmer weather. After his full career at IBM he retired and moved to Georgetown.

CJ passed from this life on December 21, 2021 in Lubbock.

He is survived by his brother Michael Anderson and wife SherryJo of Austin; son Alan Vincent Anderson and wife Julie Anderson of Chapel Hill, NC; daughter Darla Nagy and husband Joe Nagy of Seminole; four grandchildren: Michael Nagy and wife Sarah Nagy, Jessica Strowd and husband Kennedy Strowd, Ian Anderson and Jacob Nagy and four great-grandchildren: Luke Nagy, Harper Nagy, Hudson Nagy and John Knox Strowd.
