Graveside services for Bernese Gail Willett, 96 of Seminole will be held, Monday, October 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gaines County Cemetery, with Pastor Vance Thomas officiating, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.

Bernese passed away October 13, 2021 in Seminole. Bernese was born August 23, 1925 in Clarkridge, Arkansas to Lish McKinney Ellison and Kattie Ann Crawford Ellison. She married Dale Willett, February 29, 1956 in Gainesville, Missouri. Bernese received a college degree from College of the Southwest in 1973 and a Masters from Sul Ross University in 1982. She taught elementary school in Lamesa and Loop for 20 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church, taught Sunday school classes, participated in aerobics and water exercise and she was a dog lover. She had many dogs throughout the years. Bernese was a generous person who spent many years helping others.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale Willett; daughter Donna Jo Killion; son-in-law Ron Killion; brothers Dale and Hayward Ellison and sister Doris Boschert.

Bernese is survived by son Bobby Willett; daughter Robin Dedecker; brothers Lawrence, Bob and Bernard Ellison; sister Louise Luton and her beloved dog Sydney and two grandchildren Trevor and Carlin.
