Left with the prospects of filling holes from a district-champion 2018 roster, the Seminole Maidens were potentially staring at a rebuilding year on the diamond in 2019.
An array of new, young faces dominated the lineup with five freshmen and a sophomore being among the team’s regular, season-long starters.
That youth movement did experience some bumps along the road, but the road ended up in the playoffs with Bi-District and Area wins before closing with the team’s first appearance in the Region 1 quarterfinals since 2009 – and second ever.
