Funeral services for aTeresa Cavazos Cortez age 106 of Seminole and formerly of Lamesa will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at The River of Life church located at 116 Austin Ave. in Lamesa. Officiating the funeral sevice will be Ricardo Jimenez. (No Rosary Services, per preferred religion). Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.

Visition was held Saturday and Sunday, October 27 and 28 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.

Reba Ann Mansell, age 83 of Rockwall passed away October 20, 2018. She was born May 16, 1935, in Athens to Truman and Clemmie Cumbie. She grew up and attended schools in Lubbock. Reba met and married her beloved husband, Don Richard Mansell, and they raised their two sons in Seminole and Waxahachie.

After their move to Rockwall they were active members of First Baptist Church, where Reba was also active in the Hannah Sunday school class. She mentored and taught various youth Sunday school classes.

Vera Nell “Nellie” Melone, 90, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2018, in Meadows Place. Nellie was born on January 27, 1928, in Lubbock to Russell Andrew and Minnie Fay Jones. She attended Texas Tech College in Lubbock and Park College in Parkville, MO, where the first person she met was her husband of 51 years, the late Nicholas Mario Melone. She lived and raised her family in Seminole, where she taught piano for 20 years. She began her real estate career in Marshall (where she resided for 45 years) opening her own business, Nellie Melone Realty in 1979.
