Funeral services for Maria Sanchez, age 77 of Seminole were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Luis Rey Sr. officiating. Burial followed at Gaines County Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Mrs. Sanchez was born March 10, 1941 in Midland to Inez (Natividad) and Agustin Rey. She married Elias J. Sanchez in Lubbock on October 14, 1957. Maria loved her church and church family; she loved to sing. She was known for the best empanadas anywhere.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a memorial service at 2:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.
