During the 1960’s and 70’s, little was known about Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC), Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), and Melanoma, three different types of skin cancer.
As a result, sun worshippers took little precaution from exposure to ultraviolet light and now, many years later, are experiencing its damaging effects.
Seminole physician Dr.Timothy Gloyd said that there has been a rise in the number of carcinoma cases he has seen and many of the patients are those in their 60s, often farmers, who continue to work outdoors without protection from the sun.
