On March 13, 2020, Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of disaster for all counties in Texas due to the threat of COVD-19. Governor Abbott issued a statement on March 16, 2020, granting a temporary extension to obtain initial registration, renewal of registration, and renewal of a permanent disabled parking permit. Governor Abbott also granted a temporary extension for an individual with an expired 30-day temporary permit to obtain another permit or Texas registration.

Covenant Mobile Mammogram Van Reschedule

The Covenant Mobile Mammography Van, which visits Seminole monthly, will not be available on April 7 as previously scheduled. Residents will be notified when the unit will make its next appearance. To schedule a mammogram, once the new date is announced, call 806-725-6579 or 1-877-494-4797 to make an appointment.

Governor Abbott Issues Executive Order in Accordance with Federal Guidelines

AUSTIN - Governor Greg Abbott today announced a series of Executive Orders relating to COVID-19 preparedness and mitigation. The four orders serve to limit public gatherings and help reduce exposure for people across the state. These orders are in accordance w i t h federal guidelines issued by the President and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and will aid in the state's efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Loop ISD will be closing from March 23-April 3 to support our community and health care professionals in the ongoing goal of containing the spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. Additionally, all extracurricular activities, practices and athletic events are suspended while we are closed.

Until further notice, the Seminole Senior Center and the Seagraves Senior Center will not serve inside meals. Regular participants of the program are to drive through the center’s pick up line. Lunches will be available at noon. Meals on Wheels will continue service as usual. For more information, call the Senior Center at 432-758-4020.

Seminole EMS is taking all necessary precautions to ensure that all patients and employees are protected from COVID-19. Each health care provider will be screened daily prior to being allowed to respond for duty.
