CROWELL--Jim Paul Norman, 78, of Crowell passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Wichita Falls due to injuries from an auto accident. Services were held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Crowell with Rev. David MacDonald, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Chillicothe officiating, assisted by Rev. Damon Stalvey, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Crowell. Burial will take place at Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home in Crowell.
Mr. Norman was born September 16, 1934 in Crowell, son of the late Haskell C. and Helen Hill Norman. He married Jean Hughston on March 19, 1955 in Crowell. He was a lifetime resident of Crowell and was a 1953 graduate of Crowell High School and played football for Howard Payne University in Brownwood and was a member of and loved the First United Methodist Church of Crowell. He loved farming and ranching and was a member of the Farmers Coop Elevator in Crowell. He was selected as Soil Conservationist District Outstanding Conservation Farmer of the Year in 1996. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Most of all he loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Norman of Crowell; two daughters, Kimberly Moustoukas of Marietta, Georgia and Renee Casey of Seminole; one son, Pat Norman of Weatherford; one brother, Hack Norman of Crowell; one sister, Mary Edna Durham of McAlester, Oklahoma and seven grandchildren.
