Paul Stracener

Funeral services for Paul Stracener, age 91 of Seminole were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Seminole with Jase Waller officiating.  Burial followed at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery.  All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mr. Stracener passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Hospice House in Odessa following a lengthy illness. He was born June 10, 1921 to Ida Mae (Kennel) and Ovie Stracener in Usher. He married Madge Sanders in Clovis, N.M. in 1951. He worked for Mobil Oil for approximately thirty years.  Mr. Stracener enjoyed dancing and traveling around the United States and Canada.
Paul Stracener was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madge in 2007; one daughter, one grandson, and one sister.
He is survived by three sons, Carl Stracener of Odessa, Roy Dean Stracener and wife Cindy of Odessa, Paul Lee Stracener and wife June of Midland; three brothers, Monde Stracener of Tyler, Bernice Stracener of Gilmer and Doug Stracener of Gilmer; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
