Funeral Mass for Jonathan Ray Salazar, age 22 of Seminole will be celebrated Wednesday (today), October 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Paul Kerrieakatt officiating.  Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery.  Rosary was held Monday, October 22, 2012 from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Jonathan passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock following an auto accident. He was born November 7, 1989 in Seminole to Mary Lou (Mendoza) and Ernie Salazar. He graduated from Seminole High School in 2008, and was employed at Pizza Hut.  He was a very loving person who enjoyed playing pool, video games and sports. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Mendoza, Sr.
Jonathan Salazar is survived by his parents, Ernie and Mary Lou Salazar of Seminole; paternal grandparents, Joe and Ester Salazar of Denver City and maternal grandmother, Hilaria Mendoza of Seminole.
