ANDREWS COUNTY -- A Sonora woman who once lived in the Seminole community, died in a traffic accident Friday night on FM 1788 in southern Andrews county.

Debra Terrese Morrow Guerra, 54, was driving southbound in a Mini Cooper on FM 1788 at 7:51 p.m. when she was struck by an 18-wheeler, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS said the semi-truck, driven by Lonnie Ray Moulder of Conway, Ark., disregarded a stop sign as it headed westbound on SE 8000, just miles north of the Andrews/Ector/Midland county lines.

Guerra, who had been wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:40 p.m., according to DPS.

Moulder was not reported injured. No passengers were reported.

Guerra was a state-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who practiced in Andrews and was recently employed with Eastern New Mexico State University.

She is survived by her parents, Eleece and Thurman Morrow, Jr. of Sonora -- formerly of Seminole -- four sons, one daughter, two brothers and 11 grandchildren.

Memorial services for Guerra will be held Wednesday afternoon, at Family Harvest Church.
