LUBBOCK -- The Seminole Indian varsity golf team found out where they stood among fellow Class 3A, Region I competitors this past weekend, as SHS took part in the Region I-3A Boys Golf Preview held at Lubbock's Shadow Hills Golf Club.


SHS, in the team standings, finished tenth out of 16 teams participating in the event, with a two-day total of 676, finishing 88 strokes behind tournament winner, early Region I-3A favorite and District 2-3A rival Andrews.


Seminole's Aaron Robledo finished with a two-day score of 83-77--160 to lead the way for the Indians, while teammate Keith Cheuvront finished with a two-day score of 84-83--167.


Andrews' team score of 588 was paced by Eric Walinder's 72-74-144, which earned the Mustang tope individual honors over teammate Casey Fowler, who finished with a score of 76-69--145.
