Five students from Seminole High School attended the annual SkillsUSA Texas Summer Leadership in June.
The five students were installed into officer positions. They were Lacy Molina, Vice President; Judy Klassen, Alternate; Braeden Spence, President; Yesenia Olivas, Reporter and Randee Thomas, Treasurer.
The students, along with four others, will represent SkillsUSA Texas District 2 at different SkillsUSA Texas functions throughout the year.
Spence was also installed as a SkillsUSA Texas state Vice President. While at MO Ranch, each student completed his/her Statesman Award which qualifies him/her to attend the Washington Leadership Training Institute in Washington, DC in September for advanced training.
The officer team won second place for its Fall Leadership Agenda Presentation, and first for its Canstruction Design.
Olivas also competed in Prepared Speech.
Along with competing, they attended different leadership sessions which included, Public Speaking, Etiquette, Running Your District, Leadership Style, Parliamentary Procedure, Advanced Parliamentary Procedure.
