Four Brownfield men are  currently in jail after being arrested for being in possession of stolen firearms.

One of those firearms was allegedly used in a shooting, which recently took place in Seagraves.

Arrested were Shacolby Hill, Kendrick Davis, Chris Davis and Dominic Fisher, all of Brownfield.

At about 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, a member of the Gaines County Sheriff’s Department contacted the Brownfield Police Department asking for assistance finding a black 2010 Dodge Charger occupied by four men and suspected to be headed to Brownfield.  The four men were wanted for questioning regarding the shooting.

At 5:27 a.m. Brownfield Police made contact with the subjects in the 1200 block of N. A St. where they were allegedly found in possession of seven of the 12 firearms that were reported stolen on July 21 from a residence near the 1300 block of Cheryl Ln.

Three of the individuals were arrested on state jail felony charges of theft of a firearm while the fourth, Fisher, was charged with an additional third-degree felony charge of unlawful possession of firearm by a felon.

Bond for Fisher was set at $12,000 while the other three subjects have a bond amount of $5,000 each.
