An evening of music and professional fireworks is slated to be held this Thursday, July 3 at the Gaines County Park.

The Celebration in the Park is free of charge to all interested and is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with a Dog Show followed by local entertainment from 8-10 p.m. 

The professional fireworks display will start at dark and is sponsored by the Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce, Gaines County, Jud Cheuvront, Duwayne Billings and Shooting Arrow Fireworks. 

The Gaines County Park is situated between the Seminole and Seagraves communities, just west of U.S. Hwy. 385.

According to a listing of entertainment provided by the Chamber, Thursday's schedule of entertainers includes : Matt Wheeless, Sparrow Dance Academy, Desiree Neudorf; rogan Purser, Sara Shaw and Isabel Acosta.

Chamber officials encourage local residents to bring their lawn chairs and picnics to the park.

No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances will be permitted inside the Gaines County Park. Local law enforcement are anticipated to be on hand for the event.
